week twenty-five

With this week came near constant heartburn that has me sleeping in a semi-recline position, propped up by no fewer than five pillows every night. I can now see my belly moving with every kick and shift. I’ve got to show Kaleb – he’ll think its hilarious. Baby is hiccuping up a storm – its almost like I can put the little jumps to music. Any suggestions on a good hiccup soundtrack???

I have such a hard time visualizing the weekly fruits and veggies.  I mean, have you seen the variation in sizes between different mangoes, apples, sweet potatoes, etc? When I told Kaleb, my veggie lover, that Baby is the size of an eggplant (according to The Bump) his first question was “the fat one or the skinny one?”

Lets go to the store, son, and see if you can figure it out…

Earlier this week I hit the “100 Days Left!!!!” mark. Not that I’m not enjoying being pregnant but you know those feelings of “I want to see my baby NOW!!” are starting to surface although part of me is enjoying being a parent to two children in the abstract form right now rather than in practice. In fearcelebration of the 100 day mark, doing daily pictures – as in not taking them only when I’m looking halfway decent but taking them even when I’ve only been out of bed for half an hour and I’m looking like ish…

(One of these days, I’ll give you all a closeup of the amazing stretchiness of my tattoo – because you know you want to see it. As of today, its still stretch mark free while my hips, sadly, are stretch mark full.)

…And to do his part, Harry is growing a 100 Day beard. Since it wouldn’t be fair to ask him to match me pound for pound in the weight gain department, I’ll accept this as a reasonable substitution. He’s already warned family, friends and his job. I can’t wait to see how mountain man-ish he’s looking a month from now.

Kaleb will be participating by growing in his two front teeth sometime within the next 100 days. The left one is just barely poking through so I’m pretty sure he’ll be able to complete his challenge long before D-day.
