We got a surprise today… Dr. Castillo told me to schedule my glucose test. When we walked over the the lab to take care of that, they had an opening and were able to take me right away. Good thing we didn’t stop for those donuts Kaleb was begging for before heading to the doctor’s office. It definitely didn’t taste anything like I remembered. It was alot like flat, overly sweet Sprite. Yucky yucky.
This week’s appointment was the same ol same ol. Baby’s heartbeat sounds good – Kaleb was with us and able to hear it for the first time. He wasn’t at all impressed, though, when we told him that Dr. Castillo was the one who delivered him. He was too busy trying to negotiate for another game of Angry Birds on Harry’s cellphone.
I forgot the little book (its yet to be unpacked) that I’ve been writing down all of our questions, test results and most importantly my weight at each appointment so I’m almost positive that I gained probably 10lbs since the last time we were in the office. Probably not, since the doctor didn’t say anything when she checked my chart. I’m going to go with “no news is good news”.
My mom took Kaleb off our hands for an evening and we went with my sister in law to Extraordinary Desserts where I overindulged in sweet treats. I love desserts. Especially pretty ones. With whipped cream and strawberries. Nom.
