Hey there third trimester!
Twenty-eight weeks down, twelve to go. Woot woot! Baby is rocking and rolling as always. I am feeling constant movement from all sides. This week, I think he’s taken up residence in the region of my ribs and diaphragm because I’m only able to breathe comfortably when stretched completely out on the couch on my side.
This past weekend, Kaleb took the “Children’s Class” for soon-to-be siblings at one of our local hospitals. If you have a child and a baby on the way, check with your hospital to see if they offer these classes. The class didn’t really offer anything new in the way of information for kids but it was a cute way to make an older sibling feel special and most of all involved.
He spent the rest of the day practicing changing his “baby’s” diaper and swaddling. Super cute.
This week, Harry and I are heading to Vegas for our last hurrah aka “babymoon“. We’re going to see Andrea Bocelli live in concert, eat more food than we should at buffets and hopefully hit some big jackpots that will ensure brand new cars and early retirement for both of us.
This will be my second trip to Vegas this year and during this pregnancy. Baby is going to be more well traveled than his big brother and he’s not even born yet.
I spent alot of time yesterday trying to find some properly dressy outfits to wear on our evenings out during the trip. I can’t say it enough – fancy non-Pea-in-a-Pod priced maternity wear is almost non-existent. Seriously. I don’t want to spend my pregnancy in jeans and t-shirts. It sucks. Never fear, the Target juniors department clearance rack was there in the nick of time to save me. I picked up two dresses (same style, different colors) that not only fit the bump but looked super cute. Add in a pair of tights, some accessories and some slouchy boots (because Mama is not going to be clomping around in heels) and voila: Cute. I’ll be posting some pictures next week of what I wore on our trip – I’ve been migrating back to non-maternity wear lately. Cuter stuff + lower prices. So what if I’ve got to go up a size or three? Lol.
{day 26 beard}
I kind of decided (on my own, lol) against maternity/family photos when we came up with the idea of the 100 day beard. I’m starting to rethink that though. I just don’t have the skill to capture the fabulosity of my husband’s facial hair – we need a professional.
