At 7:25am this morning, Miles turned one. We celebrated with friends and family on Sunday, throwing a birthday bash that all other birthday bashes will be measured against from now until he’s 100.
He has been inching scooting crawling marching towards this day since the day he was born. It seems I blinked met him, blinked and now we’re here.
At almost this exact moment a year ago, Harry and I were holding our newest boy and talking about the fact that he looked like a Miles. Nurses and doctors were bustling around the room while we were wrapped in our little cocoon of bliss.
Right now I am at a loss for the words to describe how much joy, exhaustion and fun has gone into this last year. Its been awesome though.
